Explanation of the Process for Emailing Students

In response to the request of the Technion Student Association, the Computing and Information Services Division at the Technion has introduced a new service for providing online updates of assignment grades posted on Upgrade. This service involves sending emails once course instructor marks the assignment grade as ready for publication.

We welcome any feedback, comments and suggestions for improvement, which can be sent to us via email: personal.portal@technion.ac.il.

How the Process Works:
The service operates proactively, meaning that it works on a “push” basis. Soon after a grade is posted (within 10 minutes), an email containing the grade is sent to the student. At the same time, a notification is sent through the Technion’s app to smart devices.

Additional Comments:
Students registered for a course and who do not receive a grade will not receive an email.
In cases where a grade is changed after initial publication, an updated email will be sent to the relevant students.
