Procedure for receiving a time extension on exams and tests at the Technion for students who took a psychometric exam in a language other than Hebrew and who do not possess an Israeli matriculation (Bagrut) certificate (as of the 2015-2016 Spring Semester):
Students whose native language is not Hebrew – for example, exchange students, new immigrants, and foreign students – are eligible for exam time extensions. Time extensions are only granted during students’ first year of studies at the Technion. Time extensions are 25% of the duration of the exam.
During the exam or test, it will be possible to use a dictionary. However, the use of a dictionary is contingent on the approval of the course instructor and the exam proctor.
Time extensions will not be granted for foreign language courses, including English language courses, or exams written in the English language.
