Dear Students, Dear Faculty Members,
During these challenging days and nights, we hope that you are well and feeling as safe as possible. Our thoughts are with your families and all those dear to you. To those of you who have been called up for reserve duty, we send our support and heartfelt thanks, and wish you a safe service and a swift and safe return to campus.
Due to the current situation, all examinations scheduled between March 1, 2026 and March 13, 2026 have been postponed. In accordance with Home Front Command directives, examinations cannot currently take place, and it remains unclear when we will be able to return to routine activity. Accordingly, the following framework has been formulated, including a postponement of the start of the semester and the completion of the postponed examination dates. Please note that implementation of this framework is subject to Home Front Command directives, and in particular to approval to hold examinations.
The framework is as follows:
5. Moed A (first-session) exams that were postponed due to Operation Lion’s Roar will be scheduled during the time originally allocated for Moed B in those courses; Moed B will take place after the Passover break.
6. Students who choose not to take examinations in above dates may take an alternative examination during the next regular examination period. If the faculty offers an earlier alternative date, students will take the exam on that date rather than during the next regular period.
7. Students who are missing prerequisite courses for courses in which they are enrolled, due to the postponement of the examinations, may continue attending the course provided they remain eligible for an additional examination date in accordance with the previous clause.
8. The teacher may propose an alternative form of assessment in lieu of a postponed Moed B examination, subject to the approval of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies and in consultation with the Faculty Dean.
As aforesaid, the current situation is challenging and requires special efforts from both students and teaching staff. The framework seeks to reduce uncertainty for all of us as much as possible. We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in its implementation.
With wishes for peace and good health,
Prof. Benny Kimelfeld
Dean, School of Undergraduate Studies
